BII provides a variety of services to support those experiencing homelessness in Sacramento. Our services include interim housing options, such as shelter services, street-based outreach, motel vouchers, and rental assistance. The Bridging House provides priority to women and children, offering a safe place to stay, as well as supportive services and case management to assist them in transitioning to different housing programs and stable living conditions.
We offer safe and stable transitional housing for a period of 3-6 months where survivors of DV, SA, and HT can stay. During this period, we offer case management, support groups, and skill training in areas such as self-care, self-discovery, DV issues, job readiness, life skills, parenting, and trauma-informed art classes, tailored to the needs and interests of our clients.
We provide rapid rehousing where survivors can receive rental assistance for up to 12 months. They will continue to receive case management and skills training for stability and rebuilding.
Through our outreach program, we offer short-term rental assistance to prevent homelessness, supporting families for up to three months. We also provide motel vouchers for emergency situations involving families with children.
We believe in collaboration and networking to enhance the services we offer to individuals and families affected by DV, SA, and HT. We have established MOUs with potential organizations and work closely with the CoC to access resources and services that other agencies provide.
Currently less active, our global sector will soon resume, focusing on skills training and poverty alleviation strategies to assist street children, women, and orphans. This is done in collaboration with local organizations and faith-based entities.
